Following the distribution of outgoing Town Mayor Paul Connell’s votes, Fine Gael’s John Browne (831) and Independent Gerry Warnock (820) have been elected in the Longford Electoral area.
With a quota of 816 votes, Fianna Fáil’s Seamus Butler (774) and Fine Gael’s Peggy Nolan (745) are also expected to be elected on the next count.
The big battle is between Padraig Loughrey (630), Michael Connellan (592) and Mae Sexton (627) for the final two seats.
