Bus shelters needed onLongford Local Link routes

There was a call for bus shelters at stops served by the Local Link services at the May monthly meeting of Longford County Council.


Cllr Ger Farrell tabled a motion calling for the bus shelters.


“I want to compliment the fantastic service provided by the local link. However, given that the weather has been poor in recent months, I would call for this infrastructure to be provided,” the Lanesboro based representative stated.


His motion was seconded by Cathaoirleach Colm Murray.

In reply, Council Chief Executive Paddy Mahon stated that the council would work on providing this infrastructure.
