The numbers drawn were 2, 6, 11, 16. As the numbers were not chosen by anyone the jackpot of 2450 euro remained intact. Consolation prizes of €20 each were won by the following. On this Saturday 18th December children from the parish will take to the stage in the local community centre to perform in the Nativity Play. The children are very well prepared as they have been preparing very diligently for the past few months. Also on the agenda is a special performance from the local choir. Admission is only €5 for adults with children free. Proceedings will get underway at 7.45p.m sharp. Don't miss a great night of entertainment.


St. Columba's G.F.C and Mullinalaghta Community Centre committee are presently selling tickets for their massive Christmas bonanza draw. Christmas gift vouchers are now available at Granard branch library suitable for for adults, teenagers and children. On these winter evenings there is no better way to pass the time than a good book. It can work wonders. New books are now in stock for Christmas. These include subjects relating to computers, adult literacy and Fs computer courses. Mullinalaghta / Mullahoran gun club wish to inform their supporters and friends that a clay-pigeon shooting club has been set up. All interesting in joining or seeking further information are requested to contact 087 6640466. A clay shoot will take place for Christmas with the date to be confirmed. To help to defray expenses a raffle has been organised for a Christmas hamper and numerous other prizes. Tickets are available from members and in local shops. Congratulations to Kevin and Shane Mulligan who have been selected on the Brendan Gilmore Security sponsored 2010 Team of the Championship. Nominated by the readers of the Longford Leader this is a great honour for the boys and their club. The lads will be honoured at the annual Gala Awards Night in the Longford Arms Hotel on this Friday 17th December. We hope all concerned will have an enjoyable night.
