Longford Animal Charity will benefit from Maxi Zoos Shelter Wishes campaign .

This campaign will see 29 animal charities across 15 counties benefit. Maxi Zoo Ireland customers can donate instore to the Shelter Wishes campaign by doing the following: Picking a wish from the Christmas tree in your local Maxi Zoo Ireland store, buying the product on the wish card for the chosen charity ,putting  the product under the tree for the charity to collect before Christmas. As part of this, Fairy Glen Animal Sanctuary will receive products from under the Christmas tree at the Maxi Zoo Longford store, to make the festive season extra special for the animals in its care.

Marie Healy Fairyglen sanctuary in Roscommon is a non-profit group that volunteers to give all animals a chance of a better life. The group rescues surrendered animals that are not reclaimed, re-homed or are just badly treated. These animals are given a home at Fairyglen sanctuary for an indefinite period and even for life. The organisation is open to donations which help them feed, house, medicate and obtain veterinary care for all the animals at the sanctuary.

During the month of December last year, Shelter Wishes saw over 2,000 wishes granted for less fortunate animals. The campaign is one of many ways in which Maxi Zoo Ireland is involved with the welfare of animals. It also partnered with Husky Rescue Ireland in November of this year, to raise money for the organisation through its Together for Pets Pendants campaign.
