SuperValu is set to launch its new look, state of the art store in Granard, following a significant investment of €450,000.
SuperValu Hanley Granard currently employs 37 people, and the store revamp will create an additional five roles within the store.
The new look SuperValu, which launches on Friday, October 20 is set to offer an extended range of top-quality produce including; brand new, expertly led Deli, Butcher and Fishmonger counters, an expanded Bakery range, a larger Off-Licence, offering an extensive range of spirits and an exciting new range of oven ready meals prepared by the Butcher, as well as an extensive new Fruit & Veg section instore.
The store will also stock the premium SuperValu Signature Tastes range, as well as the Happy Pear and Donnybrook Fair.
The state-of-the-art store will offer a more modern and spacious shopping experience, with new and extended range of Fish products, prepared daily by the in-house Fishmonger. Catering to all tastes and needs within the community of Granard, SuperValu Hanley Granard has increased the size of their foods of the world range.
Supporting local is of key importance to the team in SuperValu Hanley Granard and customers will be able to try out products from local producers in the Taste of Local area in store.
SuperValu Hanley Granard has been a major support of the Granard community for 18 years and has supported many local charities and teams including the local GAA clubs, St. Marys GAA and Ballymore ladies GAA, as well as Granard Tidy Towns.
The SuperValu Hanley Granard team are committed to sustainability and have gone to extensive lengths to be as environmentally conscious as possible in designing the new look store.
Some updated sustainable features, within the store’s innovative design include, the installation of solar panels, new LED lighting, closed doors on refrigeration, as well as LED lighting upgrades across the store. It is envisaged that these measures will lead to a 40% reduction in energy consumption across the premises by 2024.
