The Shannonside village of Tarmonbarry was among the winners in the 2023 Tidy Towns competition having been awarded a bronze prize by increasing their points by 12 on last year’s competition.
The adjudicators commented that it was a delight to kick off their adjudication for the national TidyTowns competition in Tarmonbarry. They commented that despite it being a busy bank holiday weekend the village looked lovely and the efforts over the past 12 months to maintain, enhance the village and to plan strategically for the future are applauded. They congratulated the committee, volunteers and all the residents and businesses in the community.
