A Longford man is to stand trial accused of handling stolen property earlier this year.
Fergal Gannon (40) Ferafad, Longford was in attendance at last week's sitting of Longford District Court charged with possessing a stolen yellow dewalt router.
The single charge was take under Section 18 of the Criminal Justice (Theft and Fraud Offences) Act 2001.
Sgt Enda Daly, for the prosecution, said the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) had consented for Mr Gannon to be sent forward for trial on indictment.
He said the State prosecutor said the accused could be sent forward to the Circuit Court on a signed plea, “should that arise”.
An independent surety of €500 was approved by the court as part of Mr Gannon's bail terms.
Among those conditions include requirements on Mr Gannon to sign on daily at Longford garda station from 9am to 9pm, to obey a curfew from 10pm to 7am and to provide a mobile phone number and remain contactable.
Mr Gannon was remanded on continuing bail until a sitting of Longford District Court on December 12.
