Organisers behind this year’s Marquee in Drumlish held their long awaited launch night in Cassidy’s Old Village Inn last Friday night.

The evening marked the start of the lead in to what promises to be another four days of high class live entertainment in the north Longford village.

The Marquee in Drumlish has been one of the go to events on the entertainment calendar not just in Longford but in the wider midlands region for some time.

And thanks to yet another stellar line up of high calibre performers, this year promises to be no different.

It all gets underway on Friday August 21 when Oasis tribute band Live Forever and DJ Fergal D’Arcy take to the stage.

Saturday sees country stars Johnny Brady, Ray Lynam and Mike Denver take centre stage with Sunday night seeing All Folk’d Up, Ruaile Buaile and local group Cronin wow crowds with their unique ensemble of live music.

The last night of the festival, as always, will see Declan Nerney take centre stage and sign off what promises to be an occasion like no other.

This year’s festival lasts from August 18-21.
