A Book of Condolence for the late Albert Reynolds will be opened at Longford Co Council headquarters in Longford town this afternoon.

A Book of Condolence for the late Albert Reynolds will be opened at Longford Co Council headquarters in Longford town this afternoon.

From tomorrow, books will also be opened at Longford town, Granard, Ballymahon and Drumlish branch libraries.

Meanwhile, Longford Fianna Fáil CDC is providing transport to Mr Reynolds’ Funeral which takes place in Donnybrook on Monday, August 25 next. Those wishing to avail of the service are advised to contact John Reilly on (087) 2689338.

The CDC AGM which was due to take place on September 18, has been deferred until October 9, as a mark of respect to the former Taoiseach who passed away in the early hours of last Thursday morning.
