Gardaí in Granard are investigating a shooting incident that took place in the Killoe area of Longford in the early hours of this morning (February 23).
Gardaí confirmed that a gunshot was fired in the incident and that one man sustained injuries, which have described as not life-threatening. The injured man was brought to Mullingar General Hospital.
The incident, which occurred between Killoe/Cullyfad, and close to the Fountain Blue along the N4, involved three males. Gardaí are investigating reports of an attempted robbery at the premises at the time of the shooting.
