Members of Longford Town Council have vowed to have the divisional drugs unit relocated to Longford in the coming months, following a lengthy discussion in relation to drugs, during last week’s monthly meeting.

The unit is currently based in Co Roscommon, a county which local authority members believe “does not have a drugs problem to the same extent as Longford does”.
