More than 2,500 people brought Longford town to a standstill this lunchtime (Friday) for a protest march against ongoing cuts at St Christopher’s Services.
Local politicians were there too, among them Fianna Fail TD Robert Troy and Fine Gael TD James Bannon.
As protesters thronged the Market Square, a number of impassioned speeches were made from various stakeholders including CEO Pat O’Toole.
