Having opened for business at the beginning of July, The Dome Retail Ltd, N4 Axis Centre, Longford celebrated their official opening on Friday last.
Formerly of the Red Cow Market, a number of local businesses put their heads together when the market was closing, and lead by Jessie Brierton and Breda O’Loughlin, the group found a new home.
With representatives from a wide variety of crafts, trades and businesses, there is something for everyone at the Dome. Make-up, paintings, antiques, books, hats, jewellery, food and wine can all be found, along with a kind, friendly atmosphere and a very warm welcome. There is also a small seated area around a beautiful water feature supplied by up-and coming-business No Mower Grass.
As well as all the items on sale, there was also entertainment in the form of live music, face-painting, cupcake decorating and free tastings, as well as a raffle for a beautiful hamper containing a variety of goods.
Longford Rose, Aisling Farrell, who will be making her way to Tralee’s Dome in the very near future, did the honours on the day, cutting the ribbon and officially opening the retail unit. Speaking to the Leader, Aisling said, “thanks to everyone for having me here today. It’s fantastic to see local businesses doing so well and I wish them all the best of luck”.
The Dome Retail is open every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday. For more information, visit their Facebook page on facebook.com/thedomeretailltd.
