Tomorrow, April 24, is the day the Longford Tidy Towns Committee has selected as its Spring Clean Day.
The event coincides with An Taisce’s National Spring Clean, which is running throughout the month of April.
At a recent meeting of Longford Tidy Towns Committee it was decided to invite all local sporting and social clubs to participate in the initiative, which will involve litter-picking, washing street furniture, and maintenance of flower beds.
The committee is asking groups to organise teams of four-to-six people, select an area of Longford that needs cleaning, and then arrive on site at 6.30pm tomorrow with cleaning supplies.
