Individuals could be given the chance to kickstart their career as personal trainers or gym instructors in a new local gym.
Located in Streete Parish Park, managers at the gym are currently exploring the prospect of creating one or more positions tailored for young enthusiasts eager to carve their path in the world of fitness coaching.
A statement sent to Longford Live says: "We are exploring the possibility of offering one or more positions at our new gym to someone, maybe a young person considering a career in personal training or interested in becoming a fitness coach or gym instructor.
"This is still early days but if we have interest, it might be possible to get funding towards the training course which could open up endless possibilities."
In terms of the gym's set up, the statement continues: "By now some of you will have had a sneak preview of our new gym facility. We hope to get it up and running shortly. This will be a great incentive for young and a little older to get and maintain fitness levels.
"We still have a bit to do to satisfy insurance, health and safety and access to the facility and how to do this without disturbing other events in the main hall.
"We ask that you bear with us for a month or so. We plan an open day to discuss access and membership, so keep an eye on the [Longford Leader] notes to stay up to date. Any questions please call 087 1375222."
