Longford Courthouse
A woman who stole from a beauty retailer and pharmacy chain was fined €100 at Longford District Court.
Caríona Lynch (32) of 80 St Michael's Road, Longford, was charged with the theft of cosmetics to the value of €99.99 from Boots, Ballymahon Street, Longford on October 5, 2019.
Solicitor Brid Mimnagh said her client was on remand for sentencing in regard to another matter.
Ms Mimnagh explained that her client lost her partner around a year before this incident and “was in a bad way at the time” and had no recollection of the incident.
The defendant, a mother of one child, has two previous convictions.
Judge Bernadette Owens imposed a fine of €100 with four days in custody in default of payment.
