Oireachtas members roll out red carpet for visiting Granard students

Pupils and teachers from Granard's Ardscoil Phádraig took the N4 to Dublin today when they paid a visit to the seat of Government and met with local Oireachtas members, Longford / Westmeath Fianna Fáil TD Joe Flaherty, Cavan / Monaghan & North Meath Fianna Fáil TD Niamh Smyth and Fine Gael Senator Micheál Carrigy.

Ardscoil Phádraig prides itself on being a progressive school where students, parents and staff work together to ensure that opportunities are provided which enable each student to reach their full potential in all aspects of school life.

The broad curriculum encourages all students to become involved in the vast array of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities which take place in our school e.g. sport, green schools, music clubs, and pupil voice.

Senator Carrigy said it was 'a pleasure to meet' the students. “I had the opportunity to meet and chat to students and teachers from Ardscoil Phádraig when they visited Leinster House today for a tour. I have been on Board of Management of Ardscoil Phádraig since 2009, so it was a pleasure to chat to them and their teachers.”
