Market Square in Longford town
A man has appeared in court in Mullingar charged in connection to an alleged assault in Longford town yesterday evening.
The man, who is aged in his early 30s, was brought before a sitting of Mullingar District Court today following an alleged incident at a business premises in the Market Square area of town last night.
No breakthrough in talks over Longford to Mullingar N4 upgrade
An additional €1.5m in state funding will be needed "straight away" to ensure the protracted upgrade of the N4 between Longford and Mullingar is not scrapped altogether.
The man, the Leader understands, is well known to gardai and is a Longford town native.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Twitter has warned users to be aware of scammers posing as Twitter employees in order to try and get hold of log-in details and other personal information.
