Longford businessman Philip Reynolds was celebrating last week as his horse Moon over Germany stormed to victory at Aintree

Longford horse owner Philip Reynolds beamed with joy last week after his horse won at Aintree.

The horse, Moon Over Germany, stormed home to victory in the Grade 3 Red Rum Handicap Chase at Aintree.

Jockey Rachael Blackmore was in command as Moon Over Germany (11/2) came in ahead of Lady Buttons (5/1) and Champagne at Tara (14/1).

The eight-year-old horse, was bred by Maurice Stack and trained by Henry de Bromhead.

In other racing news, Tiger Roll won a second successive Grand National at Aintree, the first horse to do so since Red Rum.
