The average house price in Longford is now €142,501 according to the Daft.ie House Price Report Q1 2019, which equates to 69% above the lowest point.
Longford house prices have increased by 10% year-on-year and 4.0% quarter-on-quarter. Currently in Longford, the average price for a one-bed apartment is €52,000, an increase of 10.7%.
The average price of a two-bed terrace is €71,000, an increase of 15.1%, while three bed semi detached properties are currently priced at €94,000, an increase of 7.4%. Four bed bungalows are currently priced at €182,000 (+10.7%), while 5-bed detached properties are valued at €200,000 (+13.4%).
Nationwide, there was an average increase of 5.9% on house prices in the first quarter, up 5.5% on late 2018. The average list price nationwide is €261,000. According to the report, prices between December 2018 and March 2019 rose by 2.9%, the largest three-month gain since mid-2017.
There are currently just over 22,500 properties on the market as of March 1, an increase of 11% on the availability in the same period of last year. Availability has improved in 11 of the last 12 months.
