Gardaí continue to probe Longford stabbing

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a suspected stabbing in Kenagh last week.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses into an alleged stabbing incident in Kenagh last week.

A man in his early 20s was found in the middle of the street with a suspected stab wound to his abdomen at around 8am last Thursday.

The victim, understood to be from county Westmeath, was transferred to the Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar, for treatment to non life threatening injuries.

He has since been released and gardaí are hoping potential eye witnesses, who may have been in the area at the time, will assist them in their inquiries.
