A horse was found dead in a field on the outskirts of Longford town this afternoon
A horse was found dead in a field along the Athlone Road in Longford town this afternoon.
A local person travelling along the route spotted the animal and alerted the relevant authorities.
The animal has been removed from the scene and the Leader understands that Hungry Horse Outside in Newtownforbes is looking into the matter.
