While Longford Co Council has lifted its suspension on all gritting and snow ploughing that had been in place since 3pm yesterday,  the local authority says a number of roads throughout the county are blocked this morning.

In a statement this morning the Council stated that the Lanesboro to Lehery Road - R392  as well as numerous local roads in the Legan/Carrickboy area are all blocked.

Browns Cross to Ferriskill Road, Granard is also blocked as is the Robinstown Road in Granard.
