PV Fallon's in Longford town is to re-open, it has emerged
Landmark pub and restaurant PV's in Longford town has been sold and is to re-open under new owners, the Leader can reveal.
The establishment went into receivership five years ago with the loss of 20 jobs.
Despite a number of attempts to secure a new owner for the premises, it has remained closed ever since.
However, at a sitting of Longford District Court yesterday (Tuesday) an ad-interim transfer of a licence was granted.
In granting the licence, Judge Hughes noted the historic importance that was attached to PVs.
