Teenager charged in connection to alleged Longford stabbing remanded in custody

A juvenile has been remanded in custody after appearing in court this morning over the alleged stabbing of a man in Longford town earlier this week.

The youth, who is 17-years-old, appeared before a sitting of Mullingar District Court this morning.

He was charged following the alleged stabbing of a 19-year-old man in the Springlawn area of Longford town on Wednesday evening.

As the defendant is classed as a minor, due to his age, his details cannot be published. 

The youth was remanded in custody and is due to appear back at a sitting of Longford District Court next Tuesday.
