Granard student's Millinery to be worn at Punchestown

Today is the big racing day for Longford folk as more than one thousand people take to road for the annual Longford GAA race day.

It's always a big day out for fashion conscious women and the good news is that they now have the services of a well known milliner to call on.

Luke Norton is an 18-year-old Leaving Cert student from Coolarty. He moved down from Dublin  with his family and they made Co Longford their home.

He is a popular student at Cnoc Mhuire in Granard and discovered his passion for fashion a number of years ago when he was part of the school's successful entry in the Junk Kouture competition. That's basically where students fashion couture fashion from scraps and waste.

It ignited a passion  in Luke Norton and immediately he knew he had a flair for fashion.

Now at only just 18 years of age  and with his Leaving Cert looming, he's set himself up as a milliner and  at least three women will wear Luke Norton hats at Punchestown  this week.
