The wind and rain may have swept across much of the county but it failed to dampen the spirits of Longfordians as the county town celebrated St Patrick's Day in style this afternoon.
Close to 70 floats and various other eye catching displays took to the streets of Longford for the town's eagerly awaited St Patrick's Day Parade.
Led by Grand Marshal and Siege of Jadotville veteran Michael Tighe, scores of spectators lined out to take in the wide array of visual attractions and exhibits that were on show.
