Fianna Fail Seanad candidate Connie Gerety-Quinn has seen her hopes of election to the Upper House of the Oireachtas come to an end this afternoon (Tuesday).
Ms Gerety-Quinn was one of over 20 candidates vying for one of 11 seats on the Seanad’s Agricultural Panel.
However, the Carrickedmond native saw those hopes come to an end just before lunchtime when her elimination was confirmed after the eighth count.
