Colourful UK TV presenter bikes into Longford!

Presenter Timmy Mallett who previously appeared on "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here" visited Longford town, Lanesboro, Ballinamuck, and Kennagh

TV presenter Timmy Mallett, a famously colourful nostalgic figure known for his energetic children's shows, cycled into Longford this week as part of his latest biking adventure. 

Timmy - who is also known for his previous appearance on ‘I’m a Celebrity’ as well as his 80’s chart hit, “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” - visited Longford Town, Lanesboro, Ballinamuck, Keenagh to name but a few places.

An avid cyclist, Timmy is currently cycling through the area and documenting his journey on his social media platforms.

Timmy's photos, stories and videos show him at the Longford Arms Hotel, St Mel's Cathedral, Lanesboro's St Mary's Church, Corn Hill, enjoying a boat trip on the River Shannon, and cycling along the canal.

Timmy also posted a message of thanks to Kevin Martin of KM Cycles in Longford town, who got him back on two wheels following a puncture.

Earlier today, the Corlea Trackway Visitor Centre posted photos of Timmy with their guides. 

Posting on their social media, they wrote, "Well now! You just never know who will pop in to Corlea for a visit! Our guides Noel, Nyree and Clair had a surprise visit from UK TV presenter Timmy Mallet! Timmy is presently touring in the area on his bike and by all accounts had a lovely visit."

In addition to cycling around Longford, Timmy has also been touring Leitrim, Roscommon, Cavan and Monaghan.
