Church Street, Longford
A public information and consultation event is set to take place this Wednesday evening, February 18, (from 6pm - 7.30pm) regarding proposed changes to the Lower Battery Road and Church Street areas of Longford town, specifically with regard to expanding the cycle network.
The drop in evening, which will take place in the atrium of the Longford County Council building on Great Water Street, will enable people to view several design options on display so you can see how the areas in question might look.
Council staff, including the project lead, will be available to take questions.

A short questionnaire will be available afterwards so attendees can offer feedback that could potentially influence the final result.
Cathaoirleach of Longford County Council, Cllr Garry Murtagh said, "Active travel isn't just about infrastructure – it's about reimagining how we use our town centre. These proposals offer different visions for Church Street, and we need to hear from the people who know this area best. I encourage everyone, particularly local businesses, to come along and have your say."
