Uisce Éireann crews to carry out mains repairs this morning

Uisce Éireann have advised of potential disruptions to the water supply in Ballymacormick and surrounding areas today while mains repairs are being carried out.

The repair works are scheduled to begin at 10am this morning but should be completed by 2pm.

Full water supply should be back by 6pm this evening as it can often take 3-4 hours after the estimated restoration time for a supply to return to normal.

These works are part of the National Leakage Reduction Programme, which is a nationwide plan to reduce leaks by fixing or replacing old, damaged pipes, and also involves the removal of lead pipes from the public water network.
