Friday last, September 27 was a wonderful day for Brigid Annie Bohan as she celebrated her 100th birthday with family, relatives, friends and her Drumgownagh neighbours with a party at Arus Carolan in Mohill. It was a well deserved celebration of a life well lived.
Fr John Quinn and Fr Nigel Charles concelebrated a lovely mass to mark this important milestone on her journey in life. She received many well wishes including a special birthday card from President Michael D. Higgins. The Centenarian Bounty, which is a gift from the State, was presented to Brigid Annie by her cousin, Martin Kenny TD.
Brigid Annie is a very pleasant person who always greets us with a smile. Her zest for life is an inspiration to all of us who are fortunate enough to know her.
We wish you a very happy birthday, filled with love and laughter and may you look forward to many years of sunshine, joy and happiness.
