Longford community pays tribute to retiring national school principal

Kay Smyth has retired as Principal of Cloontagh National School

The community extends best wishes to Kay Smyth who has retired as Principal of Cloontagh National School.
The special occasion was marked by Mass in the school on Friday, March 22.
Fr Turlough Baxter celebrated the Mass while the school children did readings, prayers and offertory gifts were presented to symbolise Kay's 16 years in the school.
The mass was also attended by past pupils and parents, Kay's family, former and present work colleagues.
We wish Kay good health and happiness in her retirement.
We also want to wish Leonie Beirne every success as she has been appointed the new Principal of Cloontagh School.
