Pupils from St Joseph’s National School visited Abbott’s diagnostics business in Longford to turn on the Christmas lights and sing carols.

St Joseph’s NS was chosen by Abbott as one of four schools in the region to benefit from the company’s ‘charity of choice’ programme.
As part of Abbott’s Croí an Óir initiative, employees at Abbott’s diagnostics business chose four schools to support in 2023.

Alongside St Joseph’s there is St Brigid’s Special School, Mullingar; St Michael’s Special School, Castlerea and St. Patrick’s National School, Drumshanbo.
Abbott’s support of St Joseph’s NS will centre around increasing and improving both sensory equipment and padding equipment for students who require them.
