St Christopher’s Service User Pat McNeil
My name is Pat McNeil. I am from Moyne, Co Longford. I am now 50 years old. I enjoy music, playing snooker and getting dressed up smart and having a pint of Guinness.
What do you do in St Christopher’s?
I go to the Men’s Shed in St Christopher’s Longford. I enjoy woodwork. I make cribs for Christmas and other items during the year. I go to St Christopher’s Adult Respite in Newtownforbes for a weekend every month. The staff are great and help me in lots of ways.
Your role as PPN Disability Rep (meetings, being consulted by council on access, footpaths, roads, etc.)
I like to have my voice heard about things that affect me in Longford, like disability parking, traffic lights, condition of footpaths, getting in and out of shops safely.
What are you looking forward to for Christmas?
I enjoy parties, eating out, dancing, presents and mostly meeting my family and friends.
What do you think about the fact the money raised will go to St Christopher’s and Little Blue Heroes?
It’s great to help other people and be part of fundraising for Christmas and for all the good causes around Longford.
