"Significant sheep kill" in Longford by marauding dogs

Longford County Council is urging dog owners in Longford to ensure that their animals are under control at all times, following a significant sheep kill in the mid-Longford area.
Five sheep were killed and two sheep had to be put down following the incident which took place in recent days.


Dog owners are reminded that it is their responsibility to maintain control of their dogs at all times and to use a leash when dogs are being walked outside.
This is a high-risk time of year for farmers, with ewes in lamb from now until spring.
