PICTURES | First Christmas lights to be erected in village of Ballinamuck are switched on

A lovely evening was had in Ballinamuck on Friday evening, December 8 at the turning on of the first Christmas lights to be erected in the village.

Santa arrived early in Ballinamuck in preparation for the Santa experience weekend and he had the honour of switching on the Christmas lights. READ MORE BELOW PHOTO

Mickey Mouse and Minnie also landed and they distributed goodies from Ballinamuck Foroige Juniors.

Pupils from St Patrick's National School, Ballinamuck, along with teacher Mary Mulligan provided the entertainment for everyone singing some lovely Christmas carols.

The Battle of Ballinamuck 225th Commemoration Committee sponsored the lights for the village.

Secretary of the Ballinamuck Enhancement committee, Siobhan Mulligan said, “It was a great finish to the year for a very memorable one for Ballinamuck.”
