The community spirit of Newtownforbes was on display recently as the citizens of the picturesque village turned out in force for a craft fair in aid of a very worthy cause.
The Newtownforbes annual pre-Christmas Artisan and Craft Charity Fair took place at the GAA complex Newtownforbes at the end of November.
There was a huge range of crafts and gifts for all Christmas needs on offer with over 40 stalls on the day from all of our local crafters. The charity beneficiary of this year's event was Longford Hospice.
There was also free children's competition on the day and of course the renowned raffle with a fabulous hamper as first prize. Those in attendance had lots of fun, and refreshments were available including the very special local pizza.
“This was a lovely start to the pre-Christmas season that supported a very worthwhile cause. We are so grateful to everyone who supported us,” the organisers said.
