Late Joseph (Joe) Kelly, Cloncullen, Ballymahon, Longford
Mourners have offered tributes to the family of a Longford man who grew up as one of ten brothers and sisters.
Kenagh native, Joe Kelly of Cloncullen, Ballymahon passed to his eternal reward at his residence on Tuesday, November 21.
Joe was 91 years old and was a native of Abbeyderg, Kenagh where he grew up as one of a large family of ten brothers and sisters.
Along with the rest of his family, he attended Kenagh National School and worked locally during his teenage years.
Joe was always a very popular good humoured character with a smile and a word for everyone, especially when he met his friends from his native Abbeyderg and Kenagh.
Joe settled in Cloncullen where he lived with his late wife Mary Anne and reared his family of five children.
He was a very stylish man, always neatly dressed in the style of a gentleman about town.
He was a hard worker and a good family man and a good neighbour.
We offer our sincere sympathy to his sons Anthony, Joseph and Enda, daughters Connie and Elizabeth, brother Charlie and a very large circle of cousins and extended family.
He was buried in Carrickedmond cemetery after his funeral mass on Saturday, November 25.
