Funds to upgrade Longford libraries IT

Minister Heather Humphreys

€10,494.36 has been allocated to Longford public libraries for the provision of new computers, laptops, iPads and other ICT equipment.


Announced by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, under the Libraries Capital Programme, the funding will assist libraries in Longford town, Ballymahon, Drumlish, Lanesboro, Granard and Edgeworthstown.


Minister Humphreys said, “It is essential that libraries are able to provide up-to-date ICT infrastructure because they play a critical role in helping to support digital inclusion.”
