Three projects from Longford schools have qualified to take part in the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 2024.
Pupils of Lanesboro Community College and St. Mel’s College students will be among those to participate in the annual national celebration of STEM.
The 60th BTYSTE takes place from January 10 to 13, 2024. It's one of Ireland’s best attended events every year.
Hundreds of students will showcase their innovative ideas in the areas of Social & Behavioural Sciences, Technology, Chemical, Physical & Mathematical Sciences, Biological & Ecological Sciences, and a brand-new category being introduced for 2024, Health and Wellbeing.
The St Mel’s College examines upcycling waste streams for agricultural use and protecting water sources, while the Lanesboro Community College project is entitled “Schools say N02 to Nitrogen Dioxide!”. Both entries are group projects.
The third project will be named later.
