Glowing tribute to shrewd and friendly Longford IWA supervisor who is retiring after 25 years dedicated service

Martin Tarmey who is retiring this week after twenty five years dedicated service at Kenagh branch of I.W.A.

We send good wishes to our local wheelchair manager/ supervisor Martin Tarmey who is retiring this week after twenty five years dedicated service at Kenagh branch of I.W.A.

Martin will be best remembered for his ability to cater for his wheelchair clients with kindness and dignity.

Martin was always in good humour with a big smile for all concerned. He has left a lasting impression over the past twenty five years with shrewd management of the wheelchair facility which he has developed from a very primitive structure to a modern state of the art day care centre suitable for all the requirements of those using wheelchairs.

Martin was also a very good workmate who got on very well and was very popular with the catering and caring staff, also with the management committee.

We will miss his big smile and warm welcome for visitors and often inquisitive locals.

Well done Martin you are leaving a building of very pleasant surroundings with a very warm atmosphere after over twenty years of shrewd management and friendly approach.

Good luck in your retirement.
