Longford Garda Station in Ardagh up for auction

An attractive former Garda station of c. 88 sqm set in the middle of the heritage village of Ardagh, Co Longford N39 RX73 will be sold at an online auction on Thursday, November 9 from 11am – 12 noon.

Built in the 1980’s to a high specification, the building, which has an asking price of €125,000, features some beautiful cut stone detailing to match the stone houses that dominate Ardagh village.

The selling agent, Jonathan Quinn, of Sherry Fitzgerald Quinn, Longford, says the property has great scope to be converted into residential accommodation or a variety of commercial uses. “The building features a main office with a vaulted wood panelled ceiling that would make an ideal reception room.”

The property is being sold by online auction on November 9. Auction opens at 11am and closes at 12 noon. Please see the listing on www.sherryfitz.ie/ branch/longford to register to bid.
The property is a protected structure and the sale is exempt from stamp duty.

Ardagh village is steeped in history, winning numerous awards including the national tidy town’s award.
