A planning application to build 14 houses in Ballinamuck has been approved by Longford County Council.
The application by Frank McKenna was for a development at St Patricks Court (Clos Naoimh Padraig), Shanmullagh, Ballinamuck, Longford.
Mr McKenna was granted planning permission for the development subject to 18 conditions.
The application is for the construction of 14 houses. The development will consisting of six three-bedroom two-storey semi-detached houses, eight two-bedroom two-storey terraced houses in the form of two blocks of four units in each.
The approved application covers the extension of the existing access road, green open space, boundary fences and walls, proposed connections into the existing foul sewer, surface water and watermain networks serving of the existing residential housing estate known as St. Patricks Court (Clos Naoimh Padraig) and all ancillary works.
The conditions included adherence to the submitted plans, adherence to the measures in a Flood Risk Assessment submitted, considerations for roads and waste water, the provision of EV charging points in communal parkign areas, the provision of a bond of an Insurance Company to the amount of €140,00, and payment of the sum of €37,800 to the Planning Authority as a contribution towards public infrastructure.
