On Saturday 28th October Fr. Mannings’ Gaels GAA ground in Monaduff, Drumlish , Co. Longford will host the 2nd Monaduff Marathon in support of Children’s Health Ireland.
On the day, Pat Collum plans to complete a full marathon, 26.2 miles or 42.2 kms, on the walking track around the training pitch. The Track is approximately 450 metres in length, which means the run may involve over 90 laps of the pitch. Start time is 8 am.
Last years’ event was a huge success with fantastic support and over €5000 raised for the Childrens Health Foundation. On the day 5 people completed a full marathon while plenty of others dropped in to to do shorter distances or simply to support the event.
The event starts at 8 am and the public are welcome to call in and support at any stage. It is estimated the finish time will be around 1 pm.
All funds raised will go towards the work of the Children’s Health Foundation.
