Gardaí in Longford continue to seek information from the public regarding an assault that took place in the early hours of Monday, August 7, 2023, at The Mall, Longford Town.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:30am, leaving a woman in her 50s with serious injuries that required medical attention at Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar.
Gardaí are renewing an appeal for any witnesses to this incident to come forward.
A garda spokesperson said: "Investigating gardaí are particularly interested in speaking to individuals who were present in The Mall or Great Water Street areas between the hours of 1am to 3am on that date."
They are also urging anyone with video footage or dashcam recordings from the area during the same time frame to get in touch with Longford garda station at (043) 3350570, the garda confidential line at 1800 666 111, or any other garda station.
