UPDATED | Two people hospitalised following N4 crash on Longford side of Rathowen village
Gardaí and emergency services attended at the scene of a two car collision on the N4 near Rathowen, Co Westmeath shortly after 6pm this evening.
Two individuals were taken from scene to hospital in Tullamore for treatment.
Their injuries are reported to be non-life threatening.
The road has since reopened to traffic.
Earlier this evening, An Garda Síochána (@GardaTraffic) issued a traffic alert earlier this evening advising motorists of the incident.
The collision occurred on the N4 on the Longford side of Rathowen village.
