Lanesboro Community College  Principal Hazel Hannon congratulated the students on their excellent results and wished them the best of luck in their future endeavours.

Principal of Ballymahon Vocational School Mick O'Rourke also extended his 'sincere congratulations to the Leaving Cert Class of 2023 who achieved such wonderful results in the Leaving Certificate'.

Mr O'Rourke stated, "Today’s results reflect the commitment and dedication of the students and of all their teachers, SNA's and support staff here at BVS. I would like to thank the staff for their dedication and professionalism in supporting the students over their years at Ballymahon Vocational School. This is also a very important day for parents, guardians, siblings and wider families of our Leaving Cert graduates, as it is so often said when one person in the household is doing the Leaving Certificate everyone is doing the Leaving Certificate."

The BVS principal continued, "While many will dwell on a three figure score of points from today what is more important is that all of our students achieved their potential, this is the true measure of success. It is worth noting that the Class of 2023 contributed to and excelled in many other activities in Ballymahon Vocational School – for example sport, music, community participation, and volunteering. They showed fantastic leadership, loyalty and commitment throughout their years in the School. They leave a fantastic legacy of their time in our school community.

"We wish them well in whatever path they may now take in Higher and Further Education, Apprenticeships, Training and the world of work."

Templemichael College posted a message of congratulations and well done to their 2023 Leaving Cert and Leaving Cert Applied classes on their wonderful results on Facebook.

"We are so proud of ye all for what you have achieved after all your hard work over the last five years. It was wonderful to welcome some of you back today to share in your excitement. We wish you all the best of luck with your future plans."

St Mel's College welcomed a special visitor to the school this morning in the guise of TV Broadcaster & Weatherman Deric Hartigan of Ireland AM who broadcast live from the county town.

St Mel's posted on their Facebook page; "Well done to the class of 2023. St Mel's students achieved outstanding results today and we are so proud of all of our students. Even though results could be accessed through the Candidate Self Service Portal it was great to see so many students come in today to meet their teachers and share their success. And to add to the excitement we were to delighted to welcome Ireland AM and @deric_tv to St Mel's today for an early morning broadcast."

Ardscoil Phádraig, Granard posted that they were delighted to see so many of their Leaving Certificate Class of 2023 return to the school following the release of this years exam results.

"Hard work pays off and the work ethic of this fabulous group of students has been rewarded with a fantastic set of Leaving Certificate results which will lay the foundation for a future full of endless opportunities for this years cohort. We also wish to acknowledge the roles played by our students parents/guardians, our school management team and their subject teachers who have all offered unwavering support to the group throughout the last six years. We hope all students enjoy some well deserved celebrations this weekend and we look forward to linking in with you all again next week as the CAO offers process commences. Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí."
