Twenty-three years old Longford Rose Grace Kemple will be interviewed live on RTÉ TV tonight (Tuesday, August 22) as part of the Rose of Tralee International Festival. Excitement is building in The Kingdom among Grace's family and supporters. The official Rose Tour was in Longford for the first time, eight days ago, making it a very special occasion for Grace.

A Registered General Nurse, Grace is currently doing her Higher Diploma in Midwifery. She is studying in Trinity College Dublin and as part of her studies, she also works at The Coombe Hospital. Grace says becoming a midwife has always been her dream job. "It is such a privilege to help bring new life into the world. I have delivered 31 babies so far; I still get emotional every time!" Some of Grace's family live in Tralee and she is very excited about appearing on stage tonight. Grace has been an exemplary ambassador for Longford over the past number of weeks and no doubt the Longford Rose will do her county proud tonight. Longfoirt Abú! Go n-éirí an t-ádh leat, Grace!
