The recent death has occurred peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Monday, July 31, 2023 of Blaise (Aloysius) Ireland Ben-Shieling, Brianstown, Longford.

Predeceased by his parents, his sister Susan and by his brother Paul. Blaise will be forever missed by his heartbroken family his wife Helen, sons Francis and Anthony (Canada), daughters Jennifer, Pauline Taffe, Helenie Quinn, Stephanie (Mayo) and Catrina, brothers Mel, Kevin (Dublin), James, Paddy (Clare), Ciaran (Kildare) and Josie (Kildare), sisters Freda and Brigid Farrell, his 17 grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, respective partners, nieces, nephews, good neighbours and a wide circle of friends. May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford on Friday, August 4 from 5.00pm concluding with prayers at 8.00pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday, August 5 at 11.00am in St. Mary's Church, Newtownforbes, with interment afterwards in the local cemetery. House strictly private please, except for close family and friends. Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to St. Christopher's Services, Longford c/o Glennon Funeral Directors or any family member.

Alphie Ryan, Seangharrai Drive, Ballinagh, Co Cavan / Thurles, Tipperary

The recent death has occurred peacefully in Lisdarn Unit on  Sunday, July 30, 2023 of Alphie Ryan, Seangharrai Drive, Ballinagh, County Cavan and formerly of Thurles, Co Tipperary. 

Deeply regretted by his loving sisters, Mary and Jean, brothers, Noel and Gerry, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his wife Bridie.

Funeral Mass in St Felim's Church, Ballinagh, County Cavan on Thursday, August 3 at 12 noon followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Rd., Cavan at 1pm. May He Rest In Peace.

Kathleen Dixon (née Dolan) Breandrum, Mohill, Co Leitrim

The recent death has occurred suddenly on Sunday, July 30, 2023 of Kathleen Dixon (née Dolan), Breandrum, Mohill, Co Leitrim

Kathleen will be sadly missed and always remembered by her loving family, relatives, work colleagues, neighbours and many friends. May Kathleen's Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Kathleen will repose in the The Heritage Centre, Church lane, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim (Eircode N41 KP62) on Thursday, August 3 from 4pm - 7pm. Removal to St. Mary's Church, Carrick-on Shannon, Friday, August 4 for funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Carrick-on-Shannon Co Leitrim.

The recent death has occurred peacefully at Our Lady's Hospital, Navan on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 of Sean Gormley, Griffin Park, Trim, Co. Meath and formerly Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford. 

Much loved husband of Teresa and loving father of Orla, Phil, Damien, Gerry, Blaithín and Rachel. Devoted Grandad of Kate, Tadhg, Síofra, Uísneach, Cuannfionn, Oísin, Aniaigh, Rían, Jack, Ollie and Robyn. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brothers Fintan and Leo, sister Emer, sons-in-law Sean, Jamie and Hugh, daughters-in-law Kate and Monica, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
